Towny Jails
Always wanted to take revenge on opponents that keep entering your claims repeatedly? An annoying resident keeps messing with your other residents? With Towny Jails, you now have the ability to put those players in a cell for some period of time to teach them about consequences.

Setting Up
To create a jail cell, first you need to make sure that the plot is of "Jail" type. That can easily be switched using /plot set jail. The initial jail spawn is where you are standing.
Outlawed residents killed will only appear in your primary jail that can be set up using /town set primaryjail.
Functionality
Any outlawed player killed in the town with jails set up will be sent straight to one for 10 minutes.
To prevent issues with players outlawing a player in town's claims and immediately killing them, a 15-minute immunity is given to that player. In cases where that player could've been outlawed that way more than once in less than 15 minutes, or in other towns, the older immunity gets revoked.
Escaping the jail
To add more fun, there are ways to "shorten" the stay in a jail. Town mayors can set up escape routes or parkours for jailed players so that the jail adds some fun for such players. To fully escape a jail, you must walk into the wilderness - that completely frees you up from it. If you die while escaping, you re-appear on the jail spawn.
Bail
Another way to shorten your stay is to just pay the bail of 16 gold to the town you're jailed in using /res jail paybail
That gold goes towards the town bank.
