After almost 6 years online, 1 000 000+ unique players and 600 years of combined playtime, I’m incredibly happy to announce the next chapter of EarthMC.

Tldr; EarthMC will get a second earth world joinable from hub. Old map will live side by side with the new map. Update releases Friday 2022-05-13. Early access for premium Sunday 2022-05-01 to 2022-05-08. Join the Discord event!

Terra Aurora update includes:

  • New map updated with 1.18 caves and world height. Based on Terra Nova map.
  • Custom and more balanced ore generation tuned for the EarthMC economy.
  • Most custom crafting recipes are obsolete.
  • Balanced emerald ore generation allows us to reintroduce vanilla villagers without hurting the economy. Villager trades have only been nerfed so that they never give emeralds to players. Bye merchants!
  • New nation price, 2048 gold. Other towny prices remain unchanged.
  • 500 block longer nation invite range.
  • Town resident cap removed. Only claim size is capped at old limits.
  • Mobs spawn! (They have for two months now but has not been properly announced)

##What about Terra Nova? The old Terra Nova map that has been online since 2018 will still be joinable from the hub. Both earth worlds will strive towards feature parity providing the same gameplay experience across both worlds. This allow players to keep their hard earned progress and continue to play as normal.

I firmly believe that there is still good reason to play Terra Nova. Many spots are still available and the world itself is stunning to explore. I also think that many players appreciate map longevity when spending large amounts of time on builds.

Warrior - Upgrading the old 1.13 earth map with new ore generation and 1.18 caves. This has been a long and painful process and would not be possible without him. The design team - Poppykai, Precise, Fruitloopins with others have done amazing work manually adding life to the old map. Better terrain, mountains and structures.
